BioI like to read fic. I like to share the URLs to fic I enjoyed. I like to talk about why I liked the fic I share the URLs to.
There's not much more to it than that.
I'm not The Man. My recs aren't designed to oppress or suppress, persecute or crush the unique snowflake that is an author's soul -- although I'd be pretty damned happy to have such awesome powers at my command. That would be cool!
Contrary to the journal's title, I'm human and I have preferences, some iron-clad, some negotiable. All critics do, a fact that very few people seem to realize or accept. So, if you disagree with everything I choose to highlight, that means I'm not the critic for you.
That's fine and you're not wrong to think this way. Not all critics fit all readers ... this is a fact of criticism.
All contained herein is nothing more than my personal opinion, which could very well be completely off the mark for a large chunk of any given readership. Again, that's okay. The Chunk (tm) is welcome to start their own recs journal and praise anything they please.
The more, the merrier.
Oh, and no, I don't have to ask your permission to review your publically posted work. Go read up on your Fair Use laws and we'll talk about it later.

The Lowdown: A general synopsis of the plot.

Final Pointless Rating: Meaningless, except that I'll get to give funny ratings like 5 bites from Cally out of 5 or 4 humping Baltars out of 5 or ... you get the idea.
NOTE: On days when I'm lazy, you'll get Quickies, recs without all the blabber. Prepare for these, as I'm lazy a lot.
